Adams and Cheek Dentistry has a new dental provider! We are excited to add Dr Tanner Holt to our dental family.
Dr Holt was introduced to Dr Adams by family at Lake Gaston towards the end of dental school. He then shadowed both Dr Adams and Dr Cheek as he completed dental school and into residency. Dr Holt says he knew early on that our office is where he wanted to practice dentistry.
Dr Holt grew up in Kingsport, TN with his twin brother and two younger siblings. As the son of a general surgeon and grandson of an oral surgeon, Dr Holt knew he wanted to be a doctor at an early age. In 2015, he began his freshman year at the University of South Carolina and decided his junior year that he wanted to be a dentist. After graduating with a B.S. in Biology in May of 2019, Dr Holt quickly started dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He graduated from MUSC in 2023 top of his class with first honors and was also recognized for excellence in endodontics. Wanting to get more training, Dr Holt chose to do a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at East Carolina University which he completed in June of 2024.
Dr Holt met his fiancé, McKenna, his junior year of college and they have been together ever since. They are getting married in November of this year. They have a Labradoodle, Cola, named after the city their alma mater is in and one of their favorite places.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, traveling, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends!
We feel Dr Holt is better than his #1 ranking. He is as fine of a human being as he is a dentist. We are thrilled to add him to our incredible team!
