More Cosmetic
Invisalign offers a type of orthodontic treatment using clear plastic aligners to move teeth into their proper position. This system eliminates the need for metal brackets, allowing a more cosmetic option while moving teeth. The clear aligners are hardly noticeable. The aligners fit snug against the teeth, appearing truly “invisible” from a distance.
Better Oral Hygiene
Invisalign aligners are removed when cleaning the teeth. This allows the patient to brush and floss just as easily as they did prior to starting treatment. In doing so, the patient is able to prevent tooth decay often caused by the plaque accumulation around and under metal brackets and wires of traditional orthodontics.
Thorough Routine Exams
Since Invisalign aligners are removeable and do not contain metal, we are able to conduct periodic exams just as thoroughly as we can without Invisalign. We still take routine cavity detection x-rays once a year since there is no metal blocking the areas we need to check. Therefore, we detect decay in a timely manner and place restorations as needed throughout treatment.
No Dietary Restrictions
Patients remove Invisalign aligners when eating. Therefore, patients can avoid any additional dietary restrictions and continue to eat anything they want while in treatment!
