Meet Our Staff

Our staff has years of experience and a dedicated passion to produce quality results for all who visit our office. They simply are the best in Raleigh and North Carolina. They help make us better people and dentists. They have the uncommon blend of excellent technical and administrative skills along with genuine care and concern for our patients and one another. We carry ourselves with pride in the office and community; but don’t be fooled, we also like to joke and laugh throughout the day.

Our administrative staff seeks to schedule your time efficiently and process your account accurately. Our clinical staff is committed to making you feel comfortable at all times. We want to earn your trust while delivering the best possible dentistry without exception. You have to experience our care to know what sets us apart from other dental practices. We look forward to serving you.

Craig Q. Adams, DMD, PA

Doctor of Dental Medicine

Born in Paducah, Kentucky on October 4, 1961, I became a Kentucky Wildcat fan from birth. Although my family moved to Cleveland, Ohio for my junior and senior high school years, my loyalty never waivered. My bad knees are proof of the years of basketball and football I played growing up. To get away from the cold winters of Cleveland, I chose to attend the southern most public college in Ohio, Miami of Ohio, graduating in 1983 with a B.A. in Chemistry and a Minor in Zoology.  I went back to my roots to the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and graduated “Top Clinician” in my class of 1987. I started practicing dentistry in Raleigh in August of 1987. I am honored to serve as a adjunct faculty member at the UNC School of Dentistry and University of Kentucky School of Dentistry.

My daughter, Taylor attends the University of Kentucky as an undergraduate so the Big Blue blood passes on! There are two special dogs keeping me company, Sam and Quincy. My “happy spot” is Lake Gaston for both the serenity and the water sports. My hobbies include skiing, biking, golf, hiking and cooking on my ‘Big Green Egg.’ I have participated in over a dozen medical and dental mission trips abroad and am currently concentrating on local mission work. I attend Raleigh Restoration Community Church which has its facility in our office building.

My motto: It’s not the years in your life but the “life” in your years.

William B. Cheek, DDS, PA

Doctor of Dental Surgery

As a native of Raleigh, I have always known I wanted to make both my home and my career here. My family has been right here for four generations, so we have deep roots in this area. I went to undergrad at NC State University majoring in Zoology, minoring in Design and Economics, and was a Caldwell-Fellows Scholar. NCSU is a legacy in our family – my father, mother, uncle, sister, in-laws, and wife all graduated from NC State – so needless to say, I was destined to be a Wolfpack fan! I attended UNC School of Dentistry and graduated with honors in 2006, also receiving the Hillenbrand-Lupton Award for Academic Excellence in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for the graduating class. During school I frequently visited with Dr. Adams, who was also my family’s dentist, and knew then that this is where and with whom I wanted to practice.

My wife, Taylor, also a Raleigh native, and I married in 2003. We met at Sanderson High School, started dating our senior year and have been together ever since! We have been blessed with two adorable and quite active children: our son, Jennings, and our daughter, Emma. In whatever spare time I might have, I enjoy hanging out with our families, going to the beach, fishing, keeping a project of some sort going, exercising, and watching as much football as I can manage!

I started my dental hygiene career with Dr. Adams back in 2002 after graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill. I unfortunately relocated 2 ½ years later, but am happy to be back working for such a wonderful office again! It has been fun reconnecting with coworkers and patients I left 10 years ago, although it hardly seems it has been that long!

In my free time, I enjoy running, yoga, reading and traveling. Despite being a true blue Carolina fan, I did marry a former NC State football player and enjoy attending many sporting events while living in a house divided. My husband and I also spend a lot of time keeping up with our playful and sweet chocolate lab, Drake.

My family and I moved to North Carolina in the summer of 2002. Shortly after I arrived, I began working for Dr. Adams as a dental hygienist. I have three growing children that occupy most of my free time. I love to travel as most of you would know. My other interests include boating, cooking, gardening and relaxing with a good book.

I spend most of our non-work time at either a lake or ocean. I truly enjoy the peace that brings to me. I am fortunate that my extended family lives close by. I truly enjoy being at my second home with wonderful co-workers that make every day seem peaceful.

I was born and raised in the seacoast area of New Hampshire. In 2009, I earned my certificate in dental assisting at NH Technical Institute in Concord, NH. I loved the dental field so much, I decided to extend my training towards a hygiene degree. In 2011, I earned an associate degree in Health Science in Dental Hygiene and began working full time as a dental hygienist in the lakes region of New Hampshire.

Since moving to NC, I have been selected to be a member of the Wake Tech Dental Hygiene Advisory Board. I joined the Adams and Cheek Dentistry team in January 2017 and have really enjoyed working with such a fun team! It makes coming to work enjoyable! As a hygienist, it is my priority to provide patients with oral care to best meet their individual needs in a friendly, gentle, and sincere manner.

I relocated to Apex, NC in October 2014 with my now fiancé in order to be closer to family and escape the cold New Hampshire winters! When I am not practicing dental hygiene, I enjoy spending time with my family, doing anything artsy/crafty, playing music, and reading.

Dental Assistant

I started my dental assisting career in western NC where I am a native. The mountains are still my favorite place to enjoy the outdoors. I attended Western Piedmont Community College where I received my dental assisting certification. I have been dental assisting since 1981 and I love working with people.

I have been with Adams and Cheek Dentistry since 2011 and feel fortunate to be a part of this great practice. I have a small family, but we are very close. I have a passion for music, playing the drums, and other interests of sports, art, and reading.

Dental Assistant

I began working for Adams & Cheek Dentistry in 2008. I was hired after rotating through the office with the Wake Tech Dental Assisting program.

I’m born and raised in Raleigh, NC. I spend a lot of time with my family and I’m so fortunate that we all live in Raleigh and the surrounding cities. I enjoy traveling, baking, watching movies, and reading.

Dental Assistant

I have been working with Dr. Adams and Dr. Cheek since May of 2013. I love being a part of this awesome team, so much that I am willing to commute 45 min to an hour to my home in Willow Spring. I attended UNC – Chapel Hill School of Dentistry for dental assisting courses and graduated in 1997.

I was born near Detroit, Michigan and moved to Asheville in the early 80’s and then to Raleigh area in 1988. I enjoy gardening, cooking, traveling and watching hockey with my family in our free time.

Dental Assistant

My name is Tiana but I am called by my nickname, Nicky.  I am originally from Baltimore, Maryland where I graduated from the Medix School for Dental Assisting and began my assisting career in 1997.  My family and I moved to Raleigh in 2014.

I have been a team member of Adams & Cheek since early 2016.  I have never worked with such a special, loving, family oriented practice in my 20 years of assisting.  When I’m not with my work family, I enjoy spending time with my handsome husband, 2 beautiful daughters, and my adorable, precious twin granddaughters.

Front Office

After moving from Plano, Texas to Raleigh in 1998, I met Dr. Adams when I began babysitting for his children. A few months later, I was promoted from babysitter to the front desk in his office on Blue Ridge. Needless to say, I have been with Dr. Adams for quite some time, with the exception of a 4 year maternity leave to stay home with my 2 children, Jaden and Landon.

I have enjoyed returning to work with Drs. Adams & Cheek and reconnecting with coworkers and patients, while meeting new ones. I live in Wake Forest and enjoy the beach, horseback riding and keeping up with my very active boys.

Front Office

I have worked at the front desk for Drs. Adams and Cheek since July 2006. I’m originally from Birmingham, Alabama, but LOVE living in North Carolina. Since moving here in 2006, life sped up, I married in 2007 and we had our first child, Julian in 2011. We live in Wake Forest and enjoy spending time together playing with Julian. When I’m not chasing Julian around I like to cook and watch movies.

I love the new office! I enjoy my co-workers and our patients on a daily basis.

Front Office

I am originally from the big metropolis of  Tarboro, NC. After leaving upon my high school graduation , I came straight to Raleigh and attended St. Mary’s College. It was then and there that I decided I wanted to be in the dental profession. After completing Wayne Community Colleges dental assisting program, I immediately came back to Raleigh and have been here for the past thirty years. Dentistry has been a passion for me from the beginning of my career as a chair side dental assistant  transitioning into front office over the past 25 years.

I joined this wonderful staff at Dr.’s Adams and Cheek in 2012 as part time front office. I live in Raleigh with my wonderful husband, Scott. We have raised two great boys and seem to have a continual circus of two dogs at all times!  When I do find time for myself, my favorite thing to do is to refinish and paint old pieces of furniture, and if a can of paint is too close by I have been known to change the paint color of a room in a flash!!

Front Office

My career in dentistry began in 1987 as a chair side assistant. After several years in the clinical setting, I started working at the front desk as Patient Care Coordinator and I love helping our patients achieve their smiles. Business is my passion combined with the wonderful relationships developed with our family of patients. I’ve recently had the pleasure of joining this fabulous team at Adams & Cheek.

My husband and I live in Raleigh with our two dogs, Hunter and Sadie. We have two granddaughters who are growing up way too fast. When not at work assisting with your smile, you can find me at the coast boating and fishing or cheering on our Carolina Hurricanes.

Financial & Insurance Coordinator

Although I am a NC native, I moved to Raleigh in 2006. I began my career in Healthcare at a local orthodontic office. After 5 years of ortho, I wanted to broaden my knowledge of dentistry. In December of 2015, I was lucky enough to be chosen by Dr. Adams and Dr. Cheek to manage the insurance side of their practice. I am honored to work with two of the best dentists you will find and a group of amazing co-workers who all have so much compassion for patients, they feel like family!

I enjoy going to the movies, summer concerts and spending time with my friends and family. I am an avid animal lover, so I spoil my four-legged fur babies as much as possible.

Accounts Payable

After teaching high school, helping my husband of 40 years run a small business, and then being retired for several years, I began working part-time for Drs. Adams and Cheek in January of 2006. It was quite a change but one that has put me in the midst of some of the most incredible coworkers and patients imaginable.

When I am not at “work” enjoying my busy times, I love to spend time traveling with my husband, Bryan, or just relaxing with him. We are Triangle natives and our entire family graduated from NC State. We both enjoy spending as much time as possible with our two children, their spouses, and our four adorable grandchildren. Just ask, I always have a picture or two ready!
